My second bike was purple, it was a mountain bike and it was a christmas gift. In 2007, my dad got a plimsoll bike. From this moment, for me, the bicycles started to be more than a sport or entertaiment, it's a means of transport. my house is in La florida, 18 st. and my university in Grecia avenue, and all days I ride my bike from my house until the faculty, in a time it's 40 minutes or one hours, depends of the day and the tiredness.
One day I knew the route bikes and I loved it ! and I bought one of this the last year, but it was older because it's of 80's so it's too heavy, is a fast bike, but it could be too flighty.

my dear Santiago

Today, I'm going to talk about my city: Santiago. I like Santiago because is a rapid city, I say: that it have movement. Stgo is a capital, so it have everything on hand, if you want going to museum or swimming in a pool, you can do everything here. But as a capital and everything goes very fast, people are not friendly, and always in a hurry.
I ride a bike because I like the city from a bike, but in this city there are no bike road, so the way becomes stormy and your fights with cars and pedestrians because they don't respect bikes. In any case, when we are pedestrians, cars don't respect us.
Although, the streets are not bike, santiago has good bars and nice places to visit, like Saint Lucy hill or Lastarria st. for walking is the forestal park, for drinking a beer is Bellavista st. In this street, the beer is very cheap and there are many places for drinking.
The food in Santiago is very good and there are places very cheap and for everyone. One of my favorites places for eat is the Swiss source (in irarrazaval st.) or also, The chicken horse. This places are very good and I always go with my family.
Enjoy this city and I forget one thing: the metro is excellent, fast, clean and safe, the best of Santiago.

see you...

Lamentation over dead Christ

Lamentation over dead Christ is a painting by Andrea Mantegna. It was realized between 1457-1501. Mantegna is a Italian painter of the Renaissence. In fact, He belong to the century called Quattroccento. He was born in Padua, Venice. It's contemporary to Paolo Ucello, Filippo Lippi and Donatello. The Lamentation over dead Christ is one of the most famous painting by Mantegna, It's considerate the master piece of his work.
This painting is a great painting because it show a new posibility of the painting like a genre. This new posibility is the perspective, that it was used in the Renaissence, therefor not is a simple style in painting, it's one form of understand of the word. The human, in the renaissence, understand mathematically the world. In this time the Art was not in the museums, the art is one form for to learn the holy writing. This painting, in this time, was in a churchs or cathedrals.
The first time that I saw the painting was in a class about Arte of the Renaissence, in my first year at university. From this day, This painting is one of my favorites like more others, but always I loved it, because it do that the spectator share of the scene because, in same sens, the spectator is one more between of them.

The painting of holy week...see you

THE TRIVIUM

Hello guys!

Today I'm going to talk about the boards games. When I was a child, in my house with my family played "La gran capital" that is the same to Monopoly. The months of winter, specially in afternoon, we played this game, but after we knows the game call "The Trivium". This game, like his name say, is a trivia game.
In a board there are six colors, so just can play six players. Each player throw the dice and move their counter. Each space have a color that is a question, like yellow is History or the green color is natura and science. If you aswer is correct you win, So move your counter towards other space. The game is very simple and it sound a little bored, but in my family is "the game" in cold sundays.
I love this game, is very funny because is simple, some answers are complicated because it have two level: the basic form and the hard form, the alternatives are funniest and the faces of the players when they listen to the question is very funny when they don't known the answer. One day, I took the game with my friends, because I always was talking about this game, and it was entertaining, all everybody to enjoy it !
But I lended my game to my ex boyfriend and the game never come back to me, he stole my game. Well, I got a new boyfriend and I new game.

Rayuela

Hello everybody!

Today, I tell you about Rayuela by Julio Cortázar. When I was a child, my dad instill the reading. He always says, you must read because the reading help you to write and speak better. My dad always read differents books, but his prefers are about history, for example, about history of Roma, and the best sellers. For me, the best sellers sucks because it's books disposables, it's fun but they haven't nothing more. I like the latinoamerican writers like a García Márquez, Galeano, Rulfo, etc. But I love to Cotázar and I think that I read almost all his books.
Rayuela, comes to me when I was 16 years old and from this moment it's my bedside book. It's a complicated book because is writting of a way that allow  reader to make a decision of how to read. I remember that are three or five forms. This forms are explain in the start of book. I just read the first form I think, although, one time I try to read the second form but my time wasn't enought, because the books for the university are a lot so, I haven't time for to read novels.
I hope can to read again because is a great book !

Don't call me Amira, call me Dr. Amira

hello guys !!!!

Today I will tell you about an ambition i have in my life. I went to college in 2007, this year I really liked the carreer and I started to investigate about the postgraduate and masters.
This year, 2011, i can take courses of master in Theory of art, but my anbition is do a Phd (doctor's degree). not yet know what, I know it will in aesthetics or sociology, but I have yet to even think.
As this year I started the master's  and I have the next year because they are two years, The Phd I want to do in another country. well, this is an assumption because a PhD is a lot of money so, I intend to apply to a fund to pay me for my studies. although, I still do not know how I will pay the master, I think that postulate a scholarship also.
I love to teach at the university or do research in the university, of course. I sometimes think it's difficult for economic issues or because they may have other ambitions, but today, this is my ambition.
I hope to meet their ambitions  !!!!

Totoralillo beach

Hello !

Today I'm going to talk about Totoralillo beach. This summer I worked in a craft fair in La Serena. I stayed in this city all the summer, but the last week of January my boyfriend stay with me and I had my vacations. Although just was one week, It was fun because I knew the beach of Totoralillo.

This beach is situated in the VI region of chile, in the coast. It is to 20 minutes of Coquimbo in direction to Santiago, toward the south. The entrance is for the road. The village of Totoralillo is very small, in fact are, like 10 houses, the majority of the people that live in a village are surfers, actually they just stay there in a summer time.
Totaralillo is like a bay, the water of sea is clear, like in the Caribe. There's not a lots beachs in chile with clear water but, in the north there La virgen and Bahía inglesa Beach, The sea in this beachs is between green and blue.

In Totoralillo, the sea is calm always, there are waves but it haven't very strong, so never you are pull out to sea. In this beach you can swim. The beach is very small and always stay fill. In this place sales empanadas of shrimp with cheese and cebiche of crab and it's fantastic !

visit to Totoralillo, is a Fantastic place!
